Does BMW Start/Stop switch back on at every start? Memory coding keeps your last choice. Which models, which package and what it costs.
What Start/Stop Memory does
From the factory, BMW Start/Stop is active at every start and you have to press the button each time to switch it off. Start/Stop memory coding changes that: the car remembers the last state you selected. If you left it off, it stays off at the next start.
The system is not removed or disabled; the button keeps working and you can switch it back on at any time. This is vehicle-setting coding and does not touch engine software or power.

Start/Stop Memory is not sold on its own; it comes inside these packages: Coding & Cluster (iDrive 8.5), Feature Coding (iDrive 8), Feature Coding (iDrive 7). The package price is TRY 5,000 – TRY 7,500 depending on the model, and it includes other features too.
Can it be done remotely and how long does it take?
Yes; with assisted remote service by appointment or at our workshop in Ataşehir, Istanbul. Estimated time is about 15–15 minutes.
How do I know it works on my car?
It depends on model, production period, iDrive generation and equipment. Send us your VIN on WhatsApp and we will check and confirm before booking.
Can it be reversed?
Yes; coded settings can be returned to factory values. A dealer software update can reset coding, in which case it needs to be reapplied.
